So at the end of '83, SYLVIA conclued a distribution deal with MCA. The first pressing were re-press off last SH-46x series, before releasing new productions at the beginning of 1984. In parrallel with this national dist. contract, other labels were lauched or (relauched)(Jersey Connection, Chess). But it is obvious that the hiphop feeling were going away from sugarhill, even til' releasing GOGO, European acts....Check it out !! . Well somes will certainly not agree with the choice of including STUDIO Records to our GO GO listings! But we think, even if STUDIO Rec, was more a "cross-over label", that many releases were true GO GO, plus the MARYLAND location enforces that analysis. Check it and you"ll agree with it.
